Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has assured civil servants that no worker in the state earns below N72,000, exceeding the national minimum wage requirement. The governor made this known during the 2025 Workers’ Day celebration held at Murtala Square in Kaduna on Thursday.
Speaking to a crowd of workers and union leaders, Governor Sani emphasized his longstanding commitment to labour rights and promised a review of incremental salary adjustments to ensure fairness across all levels of the civil service.
“Because of my background in human rights and labour activism, I ensured no worker in Kaduna earns below N72,000. But beyond that, we will look into salary increments to benefit even senior staff,” he said.
Key Highlights from Gov. Sani’s Workers’ Day Speech:
Minimum wage exceeded: Kaduna State pays a minimum of N72,000, higher than the national minimum wage.
