The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed viral reports claiming he collapsed at an event in Abuja.

After inspecting key FCT projects, including the International Conference Centre (ICC), Wike described the rumors as false and politically motivated.

Social media posts, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), alleged that the minister collapsed last Friday and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

However, his media aide, Lere Olayinka, debunked the claim, labeling it fake news and the handiwork of those seeking to score cheap political points.
