Victor Osimhen Agrees Personal Terms with Manchester United – Report.

Super Eagles star striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Manchester United ahead of a potential big-money summer transfer, according to renowned Turkish journalist Serdar Çelikler.

Speaking on a podcast, Çelikler revealed that while personal terms have been agreed, Manchester United must still finalize a deal with Napoli, who hold the striker’s contract and have set a €75 million (£63m) release clause. However, reports suggest that the Serie A side may offer United a discount.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray, Osimhen has been in sensational form in the Turkish Super Lig, netting 29 goals and 6 assists in 34 matches across all competitions. His performances have reignited interest from top European clubs, with Juventus also reportedly keen. However, Napoli has no intention of selling to a direct Italian rival, making Manchester United the front-runners in the race.

With new United boss Ruben Amorim aiming to strengthen the attacking line-up, Osimhen is viewed as a perfect replacement for the underperforming Rasmus Hojlund, who has scored just three Premier League goals this season.

According to journalist Ali Naci Küçük, the Red Devils have tabled a £660,000-a-week pre-tax contract offer, potentially making Osimhen the highest-paid player at Old Trafford. This massive offer underlines United’s determination to secure the Nigerian international.

Despite Osimhen’s form, Champions League qualification could influence the final outcome. Sources close to the player claim he is keen to play in Europe’s elite competition next season, which may factor into his decision.

Back in Turkey, Galatasaray remain hopeful of keeping their top scorer, but are unlikely to meet his wage demands, reportedly €15 million annually. The Istanbul club currently covers €6 million of his €10–11 million salary, with Napoli covering the balance.

Galatasaray’s vice-president, Ibrahim Hatipoglu, commented, “Osimhen said Galatasaray will always be in his heart even in the worst-case scenario. He hasn’t confirmed he’s leaving, and we hope he stays.”

When asked about his future, Osimhen remained neutral, stating, “There are always rumours about me, of course. But I prefer to live in the moment. I am enjoying myself right now—both the club and my life here.”

With Osimhen’s explosive form, elite clubs chasing his signature, and Manchester United willing to break the bank, this summer could mark a record-breaking move for one of Nigeria’s most valuable football exports.
