President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday laid the foundation for the construction of a new national headquarters for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja, signaling a fresh move to reinforce Nigeria’s electoral infrastructure and deepen democratic values.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place in the Federal Capital Territory, where the President described the upcoming building as a “hub for innovation, planning, training, and transparency” in electoral operations.
