The management of Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro, located in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, has expelled eight students and rusticated 11 others over serious offences ranging from attempted murder, forgery, kidnapping, and examination malpractice.
In a bulletin released on July 4, 2025, the university disclosed that the disciplinary action followed investigations into various cases of gross misconduct, including alteration of bank drafts, fake receipts, fighting, stabbing fellow students, and other violations deemed contrary to the institution’s matriculation oath.

According to the release, the expelled students no longer belong to the university and are strictly barred from being found within or around the university premises. The rusticated students have been suspended for two semesters and are required to vacate both the university and its residential hostels during their suspension period.
