Soludo Meets Anambra Indigenes in Diaspora, Champions Fiscal Responsibility and Diaspora Engagement.

As part of his ongoing commitment to transparent and accountable governance, Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has met with Anambra indigenes in the Diaspora, delivering a comprehensive progress report on his administration’s achievements and laying out a vision for future development.

In a statement released by Soludo’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the Easter Monday town hall meeting in London marked the climax of a strategic Diaspora engagement tour that had earlier impressed audiences in Lagos and Abuja.

Transparency and Fiscal Discipline at the Core

Aburime emphasized that Soludo has consistently seen the people of Anambra as his “employers,” and since marking three years in office in March, he has embarked on a deliberate effort to report back to the people.

“Governor Soludo’s hallmark is fiscal responsibility,” Aburime noted. “At a time when many states are drowning in debt, Soludo proudly showcased his administration’s strides without depending on burdensome World Bank loans.”

The governor’s speech in London not only highlighted achievements but also encouraged critical interaction, with Anambra citizens abroad asking tough questions and receiving satisfactory responses in return.

Diaspora as Partners in Progress

Governor Soludo also used the town hall to rally support from the Diaspora, recognizing their financial muscle, professional expertise, and global networks as key assets in transforming Anambra into a “smart megacity.”

“Soludo is redefining development as a shared responsibility,” the statement added, “moving away from the traditional patronage politics towards a stakeholder-driven model.”

By involving Anambra professionals and business leaders abroad, the governor is building bridges between local aspirations and global opportunities.

One State, One People, One Agenda

The engagement in London is just one piece of a broader strategy that started in Awka, expanded to Lagos and Abuja, and has now gone global. This consistent outreach underscores the governor’s vision for collective development, rooted in unity, accountability, and innovation.

“As he pushes ahead with his smart megacity ambition, Governor Soludo’s model of accountability, fiscal discipline, and Diaspora partnership is proving to be the engine driving Anambra’s rising profile,” said Aburime.
