Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday celebrated Ayelabola Ololade, a final-year Computer Science student and model at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), for her historic entry into the Guinness World Records.

Ololade made global headlines after completing an astonishing 130.62 kilometers on a catwalk — the longest distance ever walked on a runway by a model. Her feat took place at UNILAG’s Indoor Sports Centre, where she completed 2,058 laps, breaking a 41-year-old world record.

During a reception held at Lagos House, Marina, Sanwo-Olu praised Ololade’s resilience and passion, hailing her as a symbol of the innovative and determined Lagos youth.

“Her dedication and talent exemplify the incredible potential of our youth and the creative spirit that thrives in Lagos,” the governor posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
