Real Madrid has officially requested the postponement of their first match of the upcoming 2025/26 LaLiga season, originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
According to reports from Madrid Xtra (via @carrusel), the decision was reached in agreement with Osasuna and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), with a new proposed date of October 29 for the fixture.
The ball is now in LaLiga’s court, as the league management body must decide whether to approve the request and reschedule the highly anticipated match-day one clash at the Santiago Bernabéu.
