President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday welcomed a high-level delegation from the State of Qatar, led by a special envoy of the Qatari Amir, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Qatari delegation, which arrived shortly after Jumaat prayers, was headed by Abdulla Saad Al Rumaihi and included notable figures such as Mohammed Bin Thamer Al Thani (Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs), Sultan Bin AbdulAziz, and Qatar’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Ali Ghanem Al-Hajri.
Strengthening Nigeria-Qatar Relations
The visit was aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Nigeria and Qatar, with a focus on economic cooperation, foreign investments, and strategic partnerships.
President Tinubu was joined by top Nigerian officials, including:
- Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President
- Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser
- Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs
- Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning
- Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation
- Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of State for Finance
