Despite being out of the country for nearly two weeks, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully engaged in Nigeria’s governance, according to a statement released by the Presidency on Thursday.

The statement, signed by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that Tinubu is currently in London after a brief stop in Paris. It reassured Nigerians that the President has not abandoned his responsibilities and continues to oversee critical national affairs while abroad.

According to Onanuga, “President Tinubu is in constant communication with key government officials and has issued direct orders to security chiefs to swiftly tackle emerging security threats in parts of the country.”

The Presidency emphasized that Tinubu’s absence is temporary and aligns with the earlier communicated two-week timeframe. He is expected to return to Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, following the conclusion of the Easter holidays.

“Governance is running smoothly, and the President’s commitment to national development remains firm. There is no vacuum in leadership,” the statement noted.

Citizens were urged to remain calm and assured that the business of government continues without interruption.
