Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has addressed a viral video circulating on social media which appeared to show him pointing what many assumed was a firearm at a driver in Lagos traffic.

In the video, a driver reportedly recognized the pastor, who then wound down his car window and pointed an object, sparking outrage and speculation online.

However, Pastor Adefarasin has firmly denied the allegations, clarifying in a public statement:

“That was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone,” he wrote.

He described the reaction as a “misunderstanding” and promised to speak more on the incident during the 9:00 am service on Sunday.

“We understand the concern that this accusation may have caused,” he added, urging the public to remain patient and not jump to conclusions.
