Osun Rep, Oluwole Oke Resigns from PDP.

In a significant political move, Hon. Oluwole Oke, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, conveyed his resignation in a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ward 7, Obokun Local Government Area.

A six-term federal lawmaker, Oke stated in the letter:

“I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with immediate effect.”

He noted that the decision came after “wide consultations and engagement” with his political associates, family, and friends.

“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith,” he added.

Copies of the resignation letter were also sent to the National Chairman, State Chairman, and Local Government Chairman of the PDP.

The lawmaker, known for his legislative experience and influence, has not yet revealed his next political move, fueling speculation ahead of the 2027 elections.
