NPFL: Super Eagles Goalkeeper Kayode Bankole Set to Exit Remo Stars After Five-Year Spell.

Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole is set to part ways with the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions after spending five years with the club.

Bankole, who joined the Sky Blue Stars in 2020, will be leaving following the expiration of his contract at the end of the 2024–25 NPFL season.

The talented shot-stopper featured occasionally for coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s side last season but lost his starting spot to Benin Republic international, Serge Obassa, who was in outstanding form throughout the campaign.

Bankole’s impending departure has prompted Remo Stars to begin the search for a new goalkeeper. Reports indicate that the club is interested in signing Kolimba Alladoum, a promising goalkeeper from the Central African Republic (CAR), as a potential replacement.

Meanwhile, Bankole is currently with the Super Eagles B Team, preparing for the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), where he hopes to prove his worth and possibly secure a move to a new club.
