The North-East leadership of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the party’s national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, emphasizing that the NNPP remains a united political force despite internal attempts to create division.
During a strategic zonal meeting held in Bauchi, party leaders from Gombe, Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, Taraba, and Bauchi states declared their loyalty to Kwankwaso and the recognized NNPP leadership registered with INEC.
Reading the communiqué, NNPP North-East Zonal Vice Chairman, Sabo Imam Gashuwa, stressed that the party is resisting efforts by expelled members to hijack or destabilize its structure through misinformation and court misinterpretations.
He described the actions of expelled figures like Boniface Aniebonam and Major Agbo as “deliberate distortions” aimed at misleading both party members and the general public.

The communiqué reaffirmed the NNPP National Secretariat’s stance on the April 3, 2025, FCT High Court ruling, clarifying that it did not overturn the earlier Federal High Court judgment, which upheld the expulsion of those members.
The North-East NNPP also assured supporters that the party remains committed to internal democracy, constitutional order, and is firmly guided by Rabiu Kwankwaso’s visionary leadership.
