Popular Nollywood actress, Biola Bayo, has officially confirmed her separation from her husband, Oluseyi, revealing that they have been apart since April 2024. The emotional announcement came via a heartfelt birthday tribute she posted on social media, where she referred to him as her “ex-husband and baby daddy.”

In the deeply personal message, Biola Bayo disclosed that the couple decided to co-parent their son peacefully and respectfully, choosing to keep the separation private until now.

“Yes, you heard me right! My husband and I have been separated since April last year, but we have decided to maturely and peacefully co-parent our dear son, who means everything to us,” she wrote.

“Better to Stay Alive to Tell the Story”

While expressing disappointment that the marriage did not last, Biola Bayo emphasized the importance of mental health, healing, and faith, stating:

“I wish it worked, but it’s better to stay alive to tell the story. Please keep us in your prayers.”

The actress revealed she had endured 14 months of emotional pain, crying silently at night while staying strong in public. She credited her Christian faith for helping her navigate the difficult phase.

“While I go about making other people happy in the day, my pillow is drenched with my own tears almost every night… I gain strength from Christ, who loves me eternally and gave himself for me.”
