NNPCL Cuts Fuel Pump Price to N930 as Dangote Refinery and Depot Owners Slash Rates.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced its premium motor spirit (PMS) pump price following similar cuts by Dangote Refinery and several depot owners.

NAIJABLOGDAILY reporters who visited filling stations across Abuja on Thursday observed that NNPCL has lowered its fuel price from N945 to N930 per litre, marking a N15 reduction. The adjustment has been implemented across NNPCL retail outlets along the Kubwa Expressway, Gwarimpa, Wuse Zones 4 and 6, and other stations in the city and its environs.

Other major filling stations in Abuja, including Ranoil in Gwarimpa, have also reduced their prices by N5 per litre, bringing pump prices down to N935 from N940. Similarly, MRS and AP Ardova stations now dispense petrol between N930 and N935 per litre.

The price adjustment follows Dangote Refinery and depot owners such as Pinnacle and Aiteo lowering ex-depot rates by N10 or more, with prices recorded at N846, N845, and N844 per litre respectively as of Thursday morning.

Chinedu Ukadike, spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), told NAIJABLOGDAILY that petrol prices may drop further as the ongoing price competition intensifies, signaling potential relief for motorists across the country.
