Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha, has threatened to drag the Clerk of the National Assembly, Kamorudeen Ogunlana, to court if she is barred from resuming plenary on Monday.
The warning was contained in a letter dated September 10 and signed by her counsel, Chief Michael Numa (SAN). The letter insisted that any attempt to prevent her resumption would amount to a flagrant disregard of a subsisting court order.
- “Take notice that failure to comply by Monday, 15th September 2025, will leave us with no alternative but to initiate proceedings against you personally and in your official capacity,” the letter read.
Natasha’s legal team further stated that the National Assembly’s refusal to obey the judicial directive amounted to a breach of the Constitution and the Code of Conduct for Public Officers.

She vowed to pursue contempt charges and disciplinary action, stressing that the Clerk would be held accountable for instigating a breakdown of peace if the order was ignored.
- “We strongly advise that you reconsider your untenable stance and comply with the Constitution and extant judicial orders,” the letter added.
