Afrobeats star and entrepreneur Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has revealed plans to run for the presidency of an African country in the near future.
The “Skin Tight” crooner, who recently married Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, made the revelation in a video shared via Snapchat, where he spoke about his desire to bring youthful leadership to Africa.
- “I’ve been thinking about it for a while. Some of you might be from a country in Africa looking for a president — not one chasing money or power, but someone young, active, and forward-thinking,” Mr Eazi said.
“So, I’m officially putting myself forward for the presidency,” he declared.

Although Nigerian by birth, Mr Eazi shares strong ties with Ghana, where he studied and began his music career — a period that inspired his unique Banku Music style.
His announcement comes amid a growing trend of Nigerian entertainers showing interest in politics. Actress Eniola Badmus recently expressed her ambition to become a senator, while former Senator Ben Bruce once predicted that singer Davido could become the Governor of Osun State someday.
