Kwara State workers, under the umbrella of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), joined millions globally to commemorate Workers’ Day 2025, urging the government to urgently tackle the rising cost of living and improve citizens’ welfare.
The celebration, held at George Innih Stadium in Ilorin, brought together labour leaders, government representatives, and dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu.
This year’s Workers’ Day theme, “Reclaiming the Civic Space amid Economic Hardship,” resonated with the struggles faced by Nigerian workers.
