Let Your Works Speak for You — Tinubu Charges Governors During Katsina Visit.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerian governors to remain focused on delivering development to their people, urging them to let their results speak louder than criticisms.

Speaking during a two-day working visit to Katsina State, President Tinubu encouraged the governors to ignore distractions from “armchair critics” and instead focus on visible and impactful achievements that will earn them public trust and a lasting legacy.

“Let the people be at the heart of your programmes. Your hard work and concrete achievements will answer any criticism. Ignore distractions — your results will speak for you,” Tinubu said during the commissioning of key projects.

The President commissioned the 24-kilometre Eastern Bypass Road — a strategic infrastructure project completed in just 18 months by Governor Dikko Radda. He also inaugurated the Katsina Agricultural Mechanised Centre, aimed at transforming farming in the state.

Commending Radda’s leadership, Tinubu praised improvements in agriculture, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, adding that “significant progress has been made in less than two years.”

He acknowledged the persistent challenges of terrorism and banditry affecting the state but hailed the governor’s “determination and courage” in pushing forward despite the security threats.

“You will not walk alone. The Federal Government will be with you,” the President assured.

On economic matters, Tinubu reiterated his administration’s focus on food security and poverty eradication, noting that hunger and poverty are among the biggest threats to national peace.

“The economy is sailing in the right trajectory. We must banish hunger through small and large-scale farming. Once we liberate ourselves from hunger, peace and harmony will follow,” he stated.

He urged a shift from traditional farming to modern, mechanised agriculture, emphasizing efficient water management and renewed investment in agricultural systems.

President Tinubu also announced plans to revamp the Bank of Agriculture, which he said will provide accessible funding for farmers at all levels.

“The Bank of Agriculture is being revitalised to support farmers nationwide,” he revealed.

Calling on other state leaders to emulate Katsina’s agricultural reforms, Tinubu declared, “Farming will be our source of prosperity and growth. We must move away from reliance on oil.”

He ended his visit by appreciating former Governors Ibrahim Shema and Aminu Bello Masari, along with other Katsina political stakeholders, for their warm reception and support.

“Katsina is home — home to progress, development, and freedom for good,” the President concluded.
