Kogi Govt Reports Senator Natasha to Security Agencies After Defying Rally Ban.

The Kogi State Government has officially petitioned security agencies, urging them to hold Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan responsible if any violence erupts in the state.

In a strongly worded statement on Tuesday, Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, accused the suspended senator of deliberately violating the government’s ban on political gatherings, which was imposed by Governor Usman Ododo to prevent security breaches.

“She should be held accountable for her blatant attempts to incite violence and cause unnecessary tension,” Fanwo stated.

He further alleged that Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan planned to use her homecoming to stir unrest in Kogi Central Senatorial District, adding:

“Instead of respecting the law, she chose to incite chaos, disregarding the safety and stability of the state.”

Despite these accusations, Naija Blog Daily reports that the embattled senator was met with a massive crowd as she landed in Ihima, Okehi LGA, in a white helicopter.

Supporters from all five local government areas of Kogi Central gathered as early as 8 AM, singing and dancing to music performances while awaiting Natasha’s arrival.

Her heroic reception comes amid rising political tension, following her six-month suspension from the Senate and her explosive allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and ex-Governor Yahaya Bello.
