Kano Pillars, RFI Hausa Sign ₦100m Partnership Deal.

Kano Pillars Football Club has sealed a ₦100 million partnership agreement with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa to boost the club’s development, branding, and media visibility.

The partnership was unveiled on Thursday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, in a ceremony attended by top officials of both organizations.

Ahmed Musa: “A Major Milestone For Kano Pillars”

Signing on behalf of Kano Pillars, General Manager and former Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, described the deal as a historic moment for the club.

“RFI is offering far more than we expected. They are contributing ₦45 million in cash, along with a total support package worth around ₦100 million. This is a proud moment for Kano Pillars. We are happy to welcome RFI Hausa into the Kano Pillars family,” Musa said.

Partnership Breakdown

The one-year agreement, valued at ₦100m, includes:

₦45m in cash support

₦55m in equipment and services, including:

  • ✅ Digital media equipment (cameras, computers)
  • ✅ Monthly training for the club’s media team
  • ✅ New jerseys sponsored by RFI Hausa

A prototype jersey, featuring traditional Kano designs, was unveiled during the event.

Mr. Joseph Penny, Director of RFI Hausa in Nigeria, stated that the partnership aims to project Kano Pillars to an international audience through innovative content creation and social media amplification.

“The partnership goes beyond logo placement on jerseys. It is about supporting the club’s heritage and growth,” Penny said, noting that RFI Hausa’s platforms, with 1.6 million Facebook followers and nearly 800,000 TikTok followers, will play a key role.

“RFI Hausa is proud to partner with such an important and beloved Nigerian football club. We believe in the team’s vision and future, and we will help push the club forward as much as possible.”

Deal Covers All Club Categories

The agreement spans Kano Pillars’ senior squad, second team, Junior Pillars, and youth teams (U-13, U-15, U-19).

Musa called on corporate bodies and individuals to emulate RFI Hausa by investing in sports development in Nigeria.
