The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that 379,997 candidates affected by technical issues during the 2025 UTME will have their exams rescheduled. The disruption occurred in 65 CBT centres in Lagos State and 92 centres across the South East, including Imo, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, and Enugu states.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, made this known during a press briefing held today in Abuja, where he disclosed that 206,610 candidates were affected in Lagos, while 173,387 candidates from the South East zone experienced disruptions.

Prof. Oloyede, who described the situation as sabotage, took full responsibility and offered an apology to the affected students and their families. He also assured that the board will begin sending rescheduled UTME dates via SMS to the affected candidates starting Thursday, May 15, 2025.
“I apologise, I take full responsibility. The affected candidates will receive rescheduled exam details by SMS,” he stated.
