Thirteen passengers who were abducted in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State have been successfully rescued in a coordinated operation by the Nigeria Police Force and local vigilante groups.

According to preliminary reports, the victims were traveling in a Benue Links bus from Abeokuta to Makurdi when they were ambushed and kidnapped at Eke, Okpokwu LGA.

The swift intervention by security agencies led to the safe recovery of all 13 abducted passengers.
