In a statement issued on Sunday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, announced that candidates can now check their mock exam results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they registered with.

The mock examination is an optional test organized to help candidates get familiar with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system and for JAMB to evaluate new technologies ahead of the main UTME 2025.

Key Highlights from the 2025 Mock UTME:

  • 200,115 candidates initially registered for the mock exam.
  • Two candidates withdrew, bringing the total to 200,113.
  • 73,844 candidates were absent on the exam day.
  • 88 candidates were disqualified due to biometric verification failure.
  • 126,181 candidates successfully wrote the exam.
  • 115,735 results have been released.
  • 10,446 results are still being processed and will be available soon.

JAMB acknowledged that some candidates experienced delays during the mock exam due to new innovations introduced into the system. The Board apologized for the inconvenience and assured candidates that these upgrades are aimed at enhancing the efficiency and security of the UTME examination process.

JAMB also emphasized that the mock UTME remains an essential part of its strategy to improve exam standards and candidate preparedness across Nigeria.

“The mock examination serves as a test-run for the main UTME. It allows us to fix technical issues and helps students get used to the CBT format,” the statement added.
