Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has signed into law the revised 2025 appropriation bill valued at ₦43.29 billion, following its passage by the State House of Assembly.

The signing ceremony, which took place on Wednesday at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, was witnessed by the Speaker, Alhaji Usman Muhammad-Zuru, and other lawmakers.

Governor Idris commended the assembly for its continuous cooperation with the executive arm, describing the cordial relationship as crucial for delivering development to the people of Kebbi State.

• “Since the inception of this administration, we have never had any disagreement with the House. Every proposal presented undergoes thorough legislative scrutiny, which reflects the assembly’s commitment to clean governance,” he stated.

On his part, Speaker Muhammad-Zuru assured of the legislature’s support in implementing people-oriented policies. He noted that the revised budget was thoroughly debated to reflect current fiscal realities and development priorities.

During plenary, the House also approved a motion to rename the newly built Government Girls Secondary School in Tsamiya, Tundi, Yauri Local Government Area, after the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi. The institution will now be known as Sarki Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi Girls Secondary School.

With this assent, Kebbi State’s revised 2025 budget is now officially in effect, in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
