Big Change in 2025: Romania and Bulgaria Now Included
As of January 1, 2025, Romania and Bulgaria officially joined the Schengen zone. Nigerians holding a Schengen visa can now travel to these two countries via land, air, or sea—no additional visa required.
What is a Schengen Visa?
The Schengen visa allows short stays of up to 90 days within 180 days across participating countries. It’s one of the most powerful visas for Nigerians who want to explore Europe with minimal restrictions.
Note: The United Kingdom, Ireland, and Cyprus are not part of the Schengen Area. You’ll need separate visas for those destinations.
