The Federal Government has announced the temporary suspension of the recruitment application portal for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
The recruitment portal, originally scheduled to open on Monday, July 14, 2025, will now be accessible from Monday, July 21, 2025, according to a statement issued by Maj. Gen. Abdulmalik Jibrin (rtd), Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The suspension affects the official recruitment portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. The government explained that the delay was necessary to ensure a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.

The statement also commended the enthusiasm shown by young Nigerians eager to serve in the country’s paramilitary agencies.
- “We assure applicants that the decision to suspend the exercise is aimed at guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process,” the board stated.
The government urged applicants to remain patient and await the new opening date.
