This new round of examinations comes after the first-ever Computer-Based Promotion Examination conducted on August 12, 2025, which resulted in 49 deputy directors being promoted to directors following ministerial approval. The initiative also seeks to clear the backlog of promotion arrears from 2023 to 2025 for workers on Grade Level 16.

The FCTA emphasized that this move represents a full embrace of digital solutions in administrative processes, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and timely conclusion of promotions across all cadres in both the FCTA and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
