Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has made a brutally honest assessment of his team’s performance, labeling them the worst side in the Premier League since his arrival.

Speaking during a press conference ahead of their crucial Europa League semi-final second leg clash against Athletic Bilbao, Amorim didn’t shy away from addressing United’s alarming dip in form.

The Red Devils recently suffered their 16th Premier League defeat of the season with a 4-3 loss to Brentford, marking their worst campaign in over 35 years.

“For me, at this moment when you look at the Premier League, we are the worst team since I arrived in terms of results. That is my idea,” Amorim said.

Despite their domestic struggles, United still have a chance to qualify for the UEFA Champions League if they go on to win the Europa League title.

“In the end, we could be the worst Premier League team ever to lift a European title. That won’t change how disappointing this season has been. It still feels like the worst in the last 50 years,” he added.
