CBEX: Another Crypto Scam Targeting Nigerians
Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX) gained popularity in Nigeria by offering promises of high returns on cryptocurrency investments. However, complaints from users about non-payments, poor transparency, and suspicious operations raised red flags before the EFCC’s formal involvement.
The agency believes that Bitar used CBEX as a front for a crypto-based Ponzi scheme, exploiting Nigeria’s booming but largely unregulated crypto space.
