The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested popular TikTok influencer Murja Ibrahim Kunya in Kano State over allegations of Naira mutilation and abuse. She was reportedly taken into custody for spraying Naira notes at social events, an act prohibited under Nigerian financial laws.
According to a reliable source at Freedom Radio Kano, Murja is currently being held by the EFCC as investigations continue.

This arrest is part of the EFCC’s ongoing clampdown on Naira abuse, particularly among social media influencers and celebrities. In recent weeks, the commission has also detained TikTok influencers Al’amin G-Fresh and Ashir Idris on similar charges.
