As Christians across Nigeria celebrate Easter, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has called on citizens to embrace reconciliation, unity, and peace. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance and sustaining the dividends of democracy in the state.
In an Easter message personally signed by the governor and released on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Fubara urged Rivers people to reflect on the true essence of Easter—the resurrection of Jesus Christ—as a powerful symbol of hope and new beginnings.

Titled ‘Renewed By The Resurrection: Advancing Peace, Unity and Good Governance’, the governor’s message highlighted the importance of love, healing, and shared progress.
“Easter is a sacred season of reconciliation and unity. It is a time when the peace of Christ dwells richly in our hearts, restoring relationships, comforting the afflicted, feeding the hungry, and healing the brokenhearted,” he said.
Governor Fubara emphasized that nothing—be it hardship, adversity, or even death—can separate Nigerians from the love of God, assuring that in Christ, “we remain victorious.”
He also expressed hope for a brighter future and pledged continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, calling on Rivers residents to stay aligned with the national vision.
