As Christians prepare to celebrate Easter, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has deployed 1,600 personnel to strategic locations across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure festive season.
In a statement released on Thursday by the Command’s spokesperson, Adeleke Kehinde, the NSCDC Osun State Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo, assured residents that robust security measures have been put in place to prevent any disruptions during the Easter celebration.
The personnel have been stationed at key public areas, including markets, churches, mosques, recreational centres, and other busy locations to guarantee safety and maintain law and order.
“This deployment is aimed at preventing any potential security breaches and ensuring that the good people of Osun State can celebrate Easter without disruptions,” Commandant Sotiyo stated.
He added that all area commanders and divisional officers across Osun have been instructed to remain on high alert and respond swiftly to any threats or emergencies.
