The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two additional individuals wanted in connection with the Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX) investment fraud, which reportedly defrauded over 600,000 Nigerians of more than ₦1.3 trillion.
The newly declared suspects are Folashade Odelana (31) and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun (32), both last traced to No. 17, Oremeta Street, Allen, Ikeja, Lagos State. According to the EFCC, the duo played key roles in orchestrating the fraudulent scheme through the now-defunct digital trading platform, CBEX.
This latest update brings the total number of suspects declared wanted by the commission to 14 individuals, as the EFCC intensifies its crackdown on perpetrators of major Ponzi schemes and crypto investment scams in Nigeria.
In an official notice posted on EFCC’s verified social media channels, the anti-corruption agency appealed to the general public for useful information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects.
“The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear below are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for fraud allegedly perpetrated on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX),” the notice read.
The EFCC urged anyone with credible leads to reach out through its offices in Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja, or contact the agency through the following numbers:
09-9044751-3, 08093322644, 08183322644, 07026350721 3, 0706350724 5
or via email at info@efccnigeria.org. Reports can also be made at the nearest police station or security agency.
CBEX, which promoted itself as a cryptocurrency trading and investment platform, collapsed in April 2025, leaving thousands of Nigerian investors in financial distress. Victims were promised high returns, but the scheme unraveled as a massive online investment fraud.
