The AAEA 2025, which honours outstanding contributions in African music and entertainment, saw Nigerian artists leading the winners' list across multiple top categories.

- UK-based Darkoo took home Best Diasporan Act for her hit “Favourite Girl”, with a remix featuring Rema.
- Burna Boy was crowned Overall Male Artist in Africa.
- South Africa’s Tyla won Overall Female Artist of the Year and Best Female Artist (Southern Africa).
- Tems received the award for Best Global African Female Artist.
- Street sensation Seyi Vibez clinched Best Male Artist, West Africa, while Ayra Starr was named Best Female Artist, West Africa.
- Fast-rising rapper OdumoduBlvck was honoured as Best Rapper in West Africa.
