President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially signed into law the South-West Development Commission Bill, the South-South Development Commission Bill, and the Nigeria Anti-Doping Bill, 2025.

Basheer Lado, the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, states that the legislation is a major step towards inclusive governance, economic expansion, and infrastructural excellence.

“By signing into law the establishment of the South-West and South-South Development Commissions, President Tinubu has reaffirmed his role as a transformational leader who prioritizes regional empowerment, economic growth, and industrial advancement,” Lado stated.

He emphasized that these commissions will catalyze industrial growth, job creation, and social development, ensuring that all regions benefit from Tinubu’s progressive governance agenda.

The move builds on Tinubu’s earlier assent to the South-East Development Commission Bill, reinforcing his administration’s deliberate effort to drive balanced regional development across Nigeria.
