In a major political development, former Delta State Governor and PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defection was announced on Wednesday following a strategic meeting at the Delta State Government House in Asaba.

Before making the move public, Okowa addressed his supporters in his native dialect, stating:
“Be assured that we will not go in the wrong direction. We will take the best direction and path for our people.”
