There is growing tension in Benue State following the abduction of popular youth leader, Ambassador Raymond Nago Asema, by unidentified men dressed in uniform in Makurdi on Monday afternoon.

According to a statement by Emmanuel Slimchild Shishim, Chief of Staff to Hon. Asema, the youth advocate was forcefully taken from his residence shortly after arriving home around 2:30 p.m. The men, believed to be operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, did not present any warrant, disclose their identities, or reveal the location where he was being taken.

As of the time of reporting, there has been no official confirmation or statement from the Nigeria Police Force or any relevant security agencies regarding the arrest or abduction.
