The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has confirmed that the ongoing blackout affecting several parts of the Federal Capital Territory is the result of a technical fault.
In an official statement released on Saturday via its X (formerly Twitter) account, the electricity distribution company listed affected areas, including Jabi, Kado Estate, parts of Life Camp, Gishiri, Mabuchi, Kadokuchi, Navy Estate, Anan House, Jahi Village, NAF Conference Centre, Lake View Phase 1 & 2, Custom Quarters, Dakibiu, and surrounding environs.
- “We regret to inform you that the ongoing power outage affecting your area is due to a technical fault,” the AEDC stated.
The Disco assured residents that its technical team is working tirelessly to resolve the issue and restore power to the affected communities. However, no specific timeline was given for the restoration of electricity.
