Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim, National Convener of the National Agenda For Tinubu 2027 (NAFT.27) and prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to honour the late former President Muhammadu Buhari by naming a key national monument or critical asset after him.

In a statement, Dr. Aliyu said such a gesture would not only immortalise President Buhari but also preserve his legacy and contributions to Nigeria’s democratic and national development.

He highlighted Buhari’s resilience, noting that he offered himself for national service through democratic means, contesting for the presidency three times before emerging victorious in 2015. According to him, Buhari’s eventual victory was made possible through the strategic political alliance and support of Tinubu, whom he described as Nigeria’s “political master strategist” and the “Jagaban of Nigerian politics.”

Dr. Aliyu emphasised that naming a major national project, institution, or landmark after Buhari would ensure that future generations remember him as a determined and urbane leader who played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s modern political landscape.
