Anambra 2025: APGA Has No Real Opposition – Governor Soludo Declares.

ONITSHA – Governor Chukwuma Soludo has boldly declared that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the ruling party in Anambra State, faces no real opposition ahead of the November 8 governorship election.

Speaking during a Thanksgiving Service organized by the Soludo Support Group (SSG) and other allies in Onitsha, the governor said APGA will continue to campaign vigorously, despite lacking any strong rival contenders.

“What will they tell you during campaigns except that they are ‘connected to the center’? But we’ve already laid a strong developmental foundation that speaks for itself,” Soludo stated confidently.

Soludo Mocks Opposition’s ‘Center’ Claims

Governor Soludo mocked the opposition’s usual narrative of being linked to the federal government, saying such slogans hold no real value for the people of Anambra.

“We are at the center, we are at the center—what is this, Central School?” he quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd.

He warned citizens not to fall for unrealistic campaign promises, especially from parties that typically blame an “empty treasury” after winning power.

Tinubu to Commission Legacy Projects in Anambra

Governor Soludo also announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would visit Anambra State on Thursday to commission several key projects executed under his administration, including:

  • The new Government House and Lodge
  • Awka Fun City
  • The Ekwulobia Flyover Bridge
  • Other major infrastructure works

He emphasized that these achievements were made possible through his administration’s dedication to healthcare, education, security, and road infrastructure.

He praised Soludo’s leadership and revealed that his LGA has begun procuring firefighting equipment for major markets, including Ochanja and Bridgehead, as part of efforts to enhance public safety.

“Governor Soludo’s track record has silenced critics. We stand firmly behind APGA,” Orji stated.
