Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has made a shocking allegation against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, accusing them of plotting to assassinate her.
Speaking during her homecoming rally, where she received a heroic welcome, Natasha claimed that although the plot was not made public, she has officially reported it to the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
According to her, Akpabio initiated her recall process, allegedly promising funds to Yahaya Bello to execute it.

She further revealed:
“On the 13th of March at 10:00 pm—two days earlier, Akpabio had called Governor Ododo, urging him to commence my recall, but Ododo refused, saying it was impossible because the masses are with me.”
“Not satisfied, Akpabio then called Yahaya Bello. I was informed about everything. The meeting had two objectives—first, to fund my recall, and second, to eliminate me.”
“Akpabio told Yahaya Bello that if I must be killed, it shouldn’t happen in Abuja, but here in Kogi, so it would appear as if it was the people who killed me.”

Naija Blog Daily reports that this allegation comes amid Natasha’s six-month suspension from the Nigerian Senate, following her political battle with Akpabio over sexual harassment accusations.
Her homecoming also defied security restrictions imposed by the Kogi State Government and Nigeria Police, including a ban on rallies and a curfew in Okehi LGA. Yet, she was met with a massive crowd of supporters.
