The President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for placing Nigeria on a firm developmental track through bold economic reforms, inclusive governance, and critical infrastructure development.
In a statement marking Tinubu’s 2nd year in office, Akpabio, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, applauded the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a game-changer in reviving the Nigerian economy, enhancing national security, and rekindling citizens’ confidence in government.

“Today, May 29, 2025, marks the two-year anniversary of President Tinubu’s administration. On behalf of the Nigerian Senate, the National Assembly, my family and constituents, I extend heartfelt congratulations to a visionary, courageous and transformative leader,” Akpabio said.
The Senate President noted that Tinubu’s economic and fiscal policies have laid a strong foundation for sustainable development, making Nigeria attractive to foreign investors and driving the recovery of the naira.
He highlighted key infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Lagos-Maiduguri Road as visible results of the administration’s focus on national growth and integration.
“Your commitment to inclusive governance is evident in the establishment of development commissions across all geopolitical zones. This is a historic step that gives every region a sense of belonging,” Akpabio added.
On security, the Senate President commended the renewed strength of the Nigerian Armed Forces in tackling banditry, insurgency, and terrorism, citing “obvious and positive results” in the past two years.

According to Akpabio, the widespread endorsements urging President Tinubu to seek re-election in 2027 are not mere political gestures, but genuine recognition of his “verifiable achievements, campaign promise delivery, and national impact.”
He assured the president of the National Assembly’s full cooperation in advancing key reforms, stating:
“We in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria remain steadfast in partnering with your administration to move the country forward. We recognize the challenges ahead and are committed to overcoming them together.”
Akpabio concluded with a message of hope and confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership:
