Three of Nigeria’s biggest stars — Davido, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr — are set to go head-to-head for Artiste of the Year at the 11th edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).

NAIJABLOGDAILY earlier reported that Burna Boy, Davido, and Shallipopi dominated the 2025 AFRIMA nominations, securing multiple spots across major categories. Davido and Burna Boy each received five nominations, while Shallipopi earned four, including Artiste of the Year and Song of the Year.

Fast-rising global star Rema also bagged three nominations, including a spot in the prestigious Artiste of the Year category. Ayra Starr, nominated in two categories, will also compete in the same category alongside El Grande Toto and other African heavyweights.

According to organisers, public voting for this year’s edition will officially open on September 10, 2025.

The 2025 AFRIMA Awards Ceremony will be hosted in Nigeria from November 25 to 30, 2025, bringing together the best of African music and culture.
