Far-right Catalan influencer and activist Ada Lluch has defended her controversial comments about Europe and Spain, insisting she is being unfairly labelled by the media and left-wing critics.
In a video shared on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, Lluch expressed concern over what she described as the erosion of European identity and growing insecurity in her home country.

Speaking passionately, Lluch said she felt compelled to address the “life of safety, degradation and invasion” she believes is threatening Spain’s cultural fabric.
- “It’s always shocking to hear the words the media uses to describe people like us,” she said. “I am not a fascist for wanting my country to remain Christian. I am not xenophobic for wanting my city’s streets to be safe. I am not an agitator for peacefully speaking my mind. And I am surely not a bad person for wanting Europe to remain European.”
Lluch, who began speaking publicly about European cultural identity three years ago, said she is not a politician but a concerned citizen who feels her birthplace has lost its essence.
She described her awakening as both painful and motivating, pushing her to speak out rather than remain silent.

- “It made me furious and sad,” she said. “It ignited a frustration that didn’t allow me to stay quiet while other countries were facing the same danger.”
During her address, Lluch also drew parallels with recent demonstrations in London, saying that despite diverse backgrounds, Europeans share a common desire for safety and cultural preservation.
- “Just like the march in London, we all come from different backgrounds,” she said. “But we all want one thing — to live safely.”
