Nigerian rapper Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani, popularly known as Jeriq, has opened up about his relationship status. He revealed that he has never been in a romantic relationship due to his skepticism about true love and loyalty.
Speaking in an interview with Glitch Africa, the 25-year-old rapper expressed doubts about the authenticity of romantic relationships, stating:
“I don’t believe in the concept of a man and a woman loving and being loyal to each other.”
While Jeriq clarified that he loves his family and friends, he admitted that his fear of betrayal has kept him from committing to a romantic partner. However, he left room for the possibility of love in the future if he finds someone who is genuinely loyal and honest.

- “You know there’s love and love. I love my brothers, my family, and my friends. But when it comes to relationships, I don’t believe a girl can love and be loyal to only me. If I can find someone who is truly honest and loyal, I will love her and reciprocate.”
Despite his current stance, Jeriq acknowledged that he is still young and might change his views on love over time, adding:
“I’m still a small boy sha, so let’s watch.”
