Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has officially begun her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in 24 hours, working with 150 models.
The challenge kicked off at exactly 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, drawing a lively crowd of fans and celebrities who came to show their support.

The marathon session is taking place at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos, as part of her three-day Tacha Beauty Festival, which runs from October 10 to 12, 2025.
Observers noted that models were seated in rows, ready for the record-breaking session, while Tacha and her team prepared to perform continuous makeup applications through the night.
Some models were reportedly concerned about delayed meals as organisers coordinated the large turnout. After each makeover, the models are expected to walk the runway to showcase their new looks.
Before starting the challenge, Tacha took a moment to pay a heartfelt tribute to her late mother. A touching poster at the venue read:
- “Every makeover, every smile, every moment today is for you. Your legacy lives through me.”
She was seen kneeling before the banner in an emotional moment of prayer and reflection.
According to her team, the goal is to complete 150 full makeovers within 24 hours, a record that has never been attempted at this scale in Nigeria.

Tacha, who rose to fame after appearing on Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem Season (2019), has since evolved into a media personality and businesswoman with a strong following.
As of press time, several celebrities — including Broda Shaggi, Dabota Lawson, Hilda Baci, Samuel Banks, Nons Miraj, Liquorose, and Somadina Anyama — were present to cheer her on during the historic attempt.
The session will continue throughout the night and is expected to end on Sunday, after which results will be submitted to Guinness World Records for official verification.
