Popular gospel singer Moses Bliss has explained that visa complications were behind the last-minute cancellation of his much-anticipated concert in Tanzania, which was scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025.
The concert, which was expected to draw over 60,000 attendees, was abruptly called off after Bliss and his team were denied entry into the country despite weeks of preparation.
In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, the singer expressed deep disappointment and sorrow over the incident, saying his team had received multiple assurances from the organizers that their visas were ready. However, at the point of departure, they discovered that the documents had not been processed.
- “We were told several times that our visas had been approved, only for new excuses to arise — that the issuing officer was not on seat or that emails had not been sent,” Bliss said. “We even boarded our flight, believing we would receive the visas on arrival, but immigration did not permit us entry.”
He described the experience as painful and heartbreaking, noting that his team had invested significant time, resources, and prayers into making the concert a free worship experience for Tanzanians.

Apologizing to his fans, Bliss emphasized that the situation was beyond his control and assured them that he would return to Tanzania soon for an even greater worship encounter.
- “Tanzania, you were not at fault. You came out in your numbers ready for God, and that moves me deeply. I have cried, prayed, and wrestled with this disappointment, but I know God will make all things beautiful in His time,” he wrote.
The singer promised that the setback would only “pave the way for a greater outpouring of God’s glory” when the concert is eventually rescheduled.
