The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a $10,000 reward for credible information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of a Nigerian man, Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, who is currently wanted in the United States.
According to the FBI, Adediran is wanted for Violation of Conditions of Release after he allegedly fled from the Central District of Illinois in December 2001, just before his federal trial was set to begin.
Fraud-Related Charges
Before his disappearance, Adediran was facing multiple federal charges, including:
- Bank Fraud
- Identification Document Fraud
- Credit Card Fraud
Authorities allege that his crimes were linked to organized financial fraud schemes aimed at defrauding individuals and financial institutions.

The FBI noted that Adediran’s Violation of Conditions of Release underscores the severity of the case. The offense occurs when a defendant, having been granted release on bail or supervised conditions, deliberately violates those terms—often by fleeing.

By evading prosecution, Adediran has been labeled a high-flight-risk fugitive who deliberately obstructed the judicial process.
FBI’s Appeal to the Public
The Bureau is now urging the public to come forward with any information regarding Adediran’s whereabouts.
The FBI stressed that anyone with reliable information could be eligible for the $10,000 reward, provided the details directly contribute to his arrest and successful conviction.
